OUR STORY While a Trustee was lying in a hospital bed, a realization gave momentum to the formation of WE CARE. The realization that most elderly people in the city live all by themselves since the children have migrated to other states or country and therefore find it challenging to manage their daily activities. This is the realistic situation of our state, the process of which started about three decades ago. WE CARE was formed as a Trust with the main objective of assisting lonely elders, whether single or couple, who live all by themselves and find it challenging to negotiate with their daily chores. WE CARE strives to be their GO TO person in case of any routine daily needs as well at times of emergency, which can be medical, social or legal. A Board of Trustees oversees the day-to-day activities of WE CARE, supported by the team of Associates. In just one year of operation, WE CARE has been able to create an awareness among the elderly.
OUR SREVICES
OUR NOVEL ADDITION :
ASSISTED LIVING FACILITY
It's said necessity is the mother of invention. It turned out to be absolutely true when one of our members fell sick and had to be rescued from home to hospital on an emergency basis. He underwent a surgery next day and when he got discharged a week later, had nowhere to go for post operative care since he lived all alone.
WE CARE immediately sprang into action and arranged for his stay, providing full post operative care following his specific diet chart. The rest is history. WE CARE now has a facility where elders can come and live and be cared for.
This unit vastly differs from traditional old age homes, both in character and in quality. Residents do not have to shell out hefty security Deposits that may range from Rs 10 lakhs to Rs 15 lakhs and even more ,in addition to the monthly maintenance charges. Again, Residents may stay as long as they wish, the minimum period being Eleven (11) months. They can opt for single occupancy or shared ( two in a room). Couples are welcome.
WE CARE also accommodates casual inmates (7 days or more) when they are forced to look for a place either because their caregivers are on leave or children are away from city.
WE CARE has launched this concept with the following attractive features:

Unlike the Old Age Homes, we do not keep hefty Security Deposits which varies anything from Rs. 10 lakhs to Rs 30. lakhs per person, or even more. We accept a modest Security deposit equivalent to 6 months maintenance charge.

The Seniors, who are mostly dependent on interest income, therefore continue to earn interest on their savings.

We offer single occupancy and double occupancy fully furnished rooms. Couples are welcome.

We provide home cooked food from our own cloud kitchen maintain high hygiene standards. From morning tea to Breakfast, lunch, evening tea and snacks and Dinner, everything is served. Special meals are served to patients needing extra care as per diet chart prescribed by doctor.

Daily cleaning of rooms and laundry of clothes twice weekly.

Changing bed linens weekly and curtains fortnightly.

Doctor on call.

Care givers arranged at extra cost.

Accompanying residents to clinics, OPDs, Diagnostic centers, Railway stations, Airport etc.

Hospitalization in case of emergency.

No restriction in movement. Daily morning and evening 2 hours each time allotted for visitors.

Minimum tenure if stay: Eleven (11) months.
